Accessibility Statement

We build for everyone. Here is where we stand, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

+61 485 569 888

Tech Gen IT Solutions is committed to making our website and the solutions we build usable by as many people as possible, including people with disability.

01 Our commitment

We believe an accessible website is simply a well-built website. Accessibility is considered from the design stage, not bolted on at the end.

This matters especially for our clients in government, education, health and NDIS-facing organisations, where accessibility is often a requirement rather than a nice-to-have.

02 Conformance status

We build towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

“Towards” is deliberate wording. We apply WCAG 2.1 AA principles throughout design and development, but this website has not yet been through a formal third-party accessibility audit. We will update this statement once it has.

03 What we have done on this site

Measures currently in place include:

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading order
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
  • Keyboard navigation support with a visible focus indicator
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA ratios for body text
  • Labels linked to every form field, with errors announced in text (not colour alone)
  • Text that resizes without breaking the layout
  • Reduced-motion support - animations turn off automatically if your system requests it
  • Responsive layouts that work from mobile to desktop

04 Known limitations

We are being upfront about the areas we are still working on:

  • Third-party embeds (such as maps, video players or chat widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA - we do not control their code
  • Some decorative animations may still be noticeable for users who have not enabled reduced motion at the system level
  • PDF and downloadable documents may not all be fully tagged for screen readers
  • A formal third-party audit has not yet been completed

05 How we test

Our current approach includes:

  • Automated checks during development (browser accessibility tooling)
  • Manual keyboard-only navigation testing
  • Colour contrast verification on text and interactive elements
  • Review across current versions of major browsers and screen sizes

06 Accessibility in the work we deliver

When we build a website or application for a client, accessibility considerations are included in the scope by default.

If your organisation needs a documented WCAG 2.1 AA conformance assessment or a formal audit as part of a tender or funding requirement, tell us at the discovery stage and we will scope that in.

07 Feedback

If you come across a barrier on this site, or you need information in a different format, please tell us. We take this seriously and will work with you to sort it out.
